On Monday September 3, 2012 the establishment of CLARIN ERIC will be celebrated at Utrecht University. The ERIC status is an important boost for CLARIN. Thanks to this status, CLARIN is able to further develop its activities towards the construction of the CLARIN research infrastructure. During a festive meeting, Robert-Jan Smits, director-general DG Research and Innovation of the European Commission, will present a plaquette to Steven Krauwer, the director of CLARIN ERIC. The meeting precedes the Opening of the Academic Year 2012-2013.
