CLARIN-NL project MIGMAP has developed a fascinating web application for studying migration patterns in the Netherlands during the 20th century. As part of our strategy to enhance integration within CLARIN at the human resources level, a CLARIN ERIC Mobility Grant scheme has been set up. CLARIN just got the announcement that Digging Into Data has just launched its 3rd call. Participation is restricted to USA, Canada, UK and NL. We suggest that you have a look at the projects from Calls 1 and 2. They seem to have an enormous showcase potential, so "we" should try to do something with this.

There will be a Digging into Data Challenge in 2013. The call will be opened at the beginning of 2013. The deadline for proposals is likely to be in mid-2013. Consortia that contain at least two national teams from Canada, the UK, the VS and the Netherlands may submit a proposal for €25k - €100k. The Faculty of Humanities of Utrecht University organizes The Humanities Lectures for all the research master students at the Graduate School of Humanities. PhD candidates are welcome as well. Utrecht University has introduced new reimbursement forms. If you want to declare CLARIN-NL related costs, you will have to use these new forms as well. The old forms will not be accepted anymore. On September 13, CLARIN-NL organized a Component Metadata ( CMDI ) tutorial at the MPI in Nijmegen. All presentations of the workshop have been recorded, in the hope that this material could also be of use to those who could not be there.
